Yes ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of the year again. September here in Malta is the month where all the schools open their doors again for another scholastic year. For this reason party life tends to calm down to more family like events and historical outings. After the summer heat, parties and madness a well-respected social calmness hits our islands, don’t worry however the weather is still sunny and pleasant and the nightlife is far from over.
For this reason we have on offer a little cocktail of all aspects of culture, relaxation and leisure for our students.
Firstly we have a larger variety of historical/cultural tours. Being the temperature 
will have dropped slightly it is far more comfortable to walk amongst historical towns and temples. All our tours are guided by a fully licenced tour guide who give a very detailed overview of Malta’s history. These tours include Valletta, Temple Tour, 3 Cities Tour and the newly restorated Fort St.Elmo & National War Museum.
Although summer is soon over our leisure department is very far from over. Again due to temperatures dropping it gives opportunity to include other activities where during the hotter summer days would not be possible. Some of these include canoeing, horse riding & wine tasting. With such activities we are able to indulge in both land and sea activities varying from one week to another.
Because of the vast variety of parties and events that take place during the summer days there is very little time to organize dinners out with our students. However now that things have calmed down slightly there is more time within the programme to include such social time with our students. Our weekly dinners are organized at different styles of restaurants such as bar & grills, Mediterranean and traditional Maltese.
Friday nights in Maltalingua are always a special night out, be it spring, summer, autumn or winter. It gives the student the time to unwind after a full week of working hard at school. During the summer months these would consists of various private parties, festivals, pool parties and boat parties. After the summer fades away it gives room for more local events such as pub crawls, bar lounges and beer gardens. This give the opportunity to spend more quality time with our students both in and out of school.
This month however we also have the yearly September events. This year we have on offer for you Rockestra which will be held on the 12th of the month. Rockestra is a rock concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and it is also for a good cause as all funds are for people in need. This year’s show will also be hosting Marc Storace as the special guest.
This year for the first time ever, Malta will be hosting a Chocolate & sweet festival on the 19th and 20th. This will be the largest, most exciting celebration of sweets Malta has ever seen. You will be able to indulge in chocolate, sweets and ice cream delicacies during the season’s most delicious event!
Another yearly event is the Malta Air Show which will be held on the 26th and 27th. This yearly event attracts many people who are visiting Malta at this time of the year. This is held in an airport base situated very close to the Maltese national airport. The air show will feature types of planes and jets from the national air force aviation from countries such as Belgium, Canada, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, the U.K and also the U.S.A. It is also said that it is the largest outdoor event on the island and also the most photographed event in Malta.
