This week Malta presented us with the Isle of MTV, an open air festival attracting over 50,000 people, coming together for one of Malta’s best free events. This is a spectacular event that takes place every June celebrating the beginning of a new summer ahead of us.
It has now been seven years since the start of the Isle of MTV in Malta, it is one of the greatest shows being held here and also Europe’s biggest free event!
Once again it was held at the beautiful Fossos square in Floriana, right in front of the local parish church.
This year’s line-up consisted of, DJ Hardwell, Kiesza, Dizzee Rascal, Nicole Scherzinger and Enrique Iglesias, a line-up that certainly attracted a great number of students from different schools around Malta. With no exception to our school, with a group of over 40 students including our junior students.
Locals and foreigners mix together creating an amazing atmosphere. As the sun hid away and the lights turned on, the party began. First to perform was the Canadian artist Kiesza, a good start to the party having just being introduced to the music industry. One artist after another the Isle of MTV never fails to create an amazing spectacle. Over 3 hours of pure relaxation, nothing beats a great party with flashing lights, super sound and great company.
