Every year around this time we see the same shift: enquiries that started as “thinking about it” in February and March turn into firm bookings, and the most popular weeks of summer start to disappear from the calendar. Summer 2026 is no different. The peak weeks — mid-June through early July, and the final week of August — are already booking up.
If you’ve been weighing up where to learn English this summer, this is the post that pulls everything together: what we offer, what’s actually available, and how to lock in your place this May without committing the full course fee upfront.
Reserve Your Summer 2026 Spot With Just a 20% Deposit — May Only
Throughout May, you can secure your seat in any of our Summer 2026 courses with a 20% deposit. The remaining balance is due closer to your arrival, on standard terms.
This is not a discount — it’s a way to give you certainty without asking you to settle the whole invoice months in advance. You choose your weeks, you confirm your accommodation, you lock in your place, and you pay the rest later.
The 20% deposit window is open in May only. From June onwards we return to standard booking terms, and by then the most in-demand weeks may already be closed.

Why Maltalingua, and Why Malta
Malta is one of the very few countries in the world where English is an official language, and for a school like ours that matters. Outside the classroom your students are immersed in real English — in shops, in cafés, on the bus, with the families they live with. The classroom and the country reinforce each other.
Maltalingua itself is a boutique school — deliberately. We’re EAQUALS-accredited, which means our teaching, welfare, and academic management are independently audited against one of the strictest international standards in the industry. Our adult campus in St Julian’s has a rooftop pool with a sea view, which after a morning of lessons is the best classroom in Malta.
And our class sizes are capped low: maximum 15 students per class in summer, maximum 12 in winter. Small enough that every student speaks every lesson — not just the loudest three.
What We Offer This Summer
For adults (16+), in St Julian’s, we run two main course tracks plus exam preparation:
Standard General English — 20 lessons per week, with afternoons free for the beach, the rooftop pool, or our optional activities programme.
Intensive General English — 30 lessons per week, for students who want to push their level faster in the same number of weeks.
Cambridge exam preparation (FCE, CAE, CPE) and IELTS prep — Maltalingua is a Cambridge English exam centre, so you can prepare and sit your exam with us.
For juniors (8–17), at our junior centre in St Paul’s Bay, the programme is fully bundled — class plus accommodation plus activities plus supervision, all in one price:
Junior Standard General English — 20 lessons per week, with a full afternoon and evening activity programme.
Three accommodation options: residence, host family, or summer camp.
Specific arrival and departure days, named supervision, and age-appropriate care, so parents know exactly what their child’s week looks like.
Which Weeks Are Filling Fastest
Summer 2026 isn’t filling evenly. A few patterns we’re seeing right now:
Mid-June to early July — strong demand on the junior side. This is the window where European school terms end and families want to slot a course in before the long break.
Mid-to-late July — peak adult weeks, especially for students combining a course with a Malta holiday.
Final week of August — the “last summer week” effect. Popular with adults squeezing in a course before September.
If your dates are in any of those windows, the May deposit is the right time to act. If you have flexibility — for example, late August into early September for adults — those weeks still have good availability and the same quality of teaching, with a slightly quieter campus and softer summer heat.
How the Booking Works
Five steps, in order:
Pick your course, weeks, and accommodation on the relevant Summer 2026 page (links above).
Submit our short quotation form — our team will check availability and come back to you with a confirmed quote.
Pay your 20% deposit during May to lock in your place.
Pay the balance on standard terms before arrival.
Show up in Malta and start learning.
If you’d like to talk it through with a real person before booking — particularly for junior arrangements, group bookings, or exam-prep planning — reply to this post or use the contact form on either landing page. The same team that answers our enquiries also looks after you while you’re here. No call centre, no handoffs.
One Last Thing
We’re a boutique school. We don’t run hundreds of classrooms, and we don’t pretend to. The reason peak weeks fill up is that our capacity is genuinely small by design — that’s the whole point of choosing us over a 600-student academy where you become a cohort number.
May is the month to lock it in.
