We’re pleased to say Maltalingua English Language School now has a dedicated Japanese language website at www.maltalingua.jp. It’s a step we’ve wanted to take for a while, and it makes life much easier for Japanese students who are looking into Malta as a place to learn English.

Why we built a Japanese website

Japan has always been one of the keenest markets for learning English, and that comes through in the students we meet. They tend to be dedicated, and they really want to spend time in a genuine English-speaking setting. We also know that wading through a website written entirely in English can feel like hard work when you’re just starting out.

So we built www.maltalingua.jp, a fully translated Japanese site where students, parents, and education agents can read about our courses, accommodation, and what Malta is actually like, all in Japanese. Every page is there in the language our Japanese students find most comfortable.

What you'll find on maltalingua.jp

The new site walks you through everything Maltalingua offers:

  • Course information: Full descriptions of our English language courses, from General English to Business English, exam preparation, and private tuition, all explained in Japanese.
  • Accommodation options: The details of our accommodation packages, including our residence, host families, and apartments.
  • Student life in Malta: What it’s actually like to live and study here, including activities, excursions, and the social programme.
  • Enrolment and pricing: How to enrol, what the courses cost, and what’s included.
  • Visa and travel information: The practical bits for Japanese students travelling to Malta, including visa requirements and travel tips.

Why Japanese students choose Malta for English

Malta is fast becoming a favourite for Japanese students who want to learn English abroad. A few reasons stand out.

A genuinely international environment

In some English-speaking countries, Japanese students can end up surrounded by others from home. Malta is different. At Maltalingua our students come from over 40 countries, so you’re practising English with people from all sorts of backgrounds. That’s exactly the kind of setting that speeds up learning.

Safety and quality of life

Malta is one of the safest countries in Europe, which matters a lot to Japanese students and their families. The island has a relaxed Mediterranean pace, lovely weather, and a friendly local community that makes international students feel at home quickly.

European culture with English as an official language

Malta was once a British colony, and English is still one of its official languages. That means you’re using English well beyond the classroom, in shops, restaurants, and chats with locals. For Japanese students, that everyday exposure is worth a great deal.

Value for money

Set against the UK, the US, or Australia, Malta offers real value. The cost of living is lower, course fees are competitive, and the teaching meets the highest European standards. Maltalingua is licensed by the ELT Council and accredited by FELTOM, so our Japanese students are in good hands.

Our commitment to Japanese students

The launch of www.maltalingua.jp is about more than translating a few pages. It reflects how seriously we take the Japanese market, and our wish to make sure language never gets in the way of a good English education in Malta.

Choosing to study abroad is a big decision, especially when it means travelling somewhere new and far from home. By putting all the information in Japanese, we want to make that decision easier and clearer for students, parents, and education partners in Japan.

Part of our wider expansion

The Japanese website fits into our broader aim of making the school easy to reach for students wherever they are. We think every student, whatever their first language, should be able to find clear information about our courses and about Malta. maltalingua.jp joins our growing set of localised websites, helping us stay in touch with students around the world.
