The third and final Maltalingua boat party of summer 2026 is pencilled in for Friday 21 August 2026. Late-summer light, slightly cooler evenings, and the kind of sunset over the Maltese coast that students message us about for years afterwards.
Lessons finish at 15:00 that Friday
Same drill as June and July: all classes on Friday 21 August finish at 15:00 so you’ve got room to head back, change, and get down to the harbour at a relaxed pace. Your teacher will confirm exact timings during the week.
The late-summer sail
August is the one a lot of returning students plan their year around. The sea is at its warmest, the school is humming, and the gulet sets out into a kind of light you don’t get earlier in the season. Swim stops at quiet bays, food and a bar on board, music as the sun drops, and a few hours of speaking English because it’s the language everyone shares.
If this is the last week of your course, even better. There’s no better way to close out a summer in Malta than on the deck of a gulet, swapping numbers with classmates you’ll be visiting next year.
Bring
- Swimwear and a towel
- Sunscreen — still essential in late August
- A light layer — the evenings start to cool down a touch
- A change of clothes
- Cash for the bar
Food and soft drinks are included. Boarding point and time confirmed by the social-programme team in the days before.
Closing out the summer with us?
The boat party is free for adult students enrolled during this week. If you’re still planning a late-summer trip — small classes, rooftop pool, EAQUALS-accredited teaching, and a social programme that runs right through to the end of August — get a free, no-obligation quote and we’ll show you exactly what the week would look like.
